Random Thoughts
1.) In Season Lifting is just like stretching. It is very easy to do, and yet not very many people take it as seriously as they should. This fall, we have a large number of high school football players train with us on Sundays and Tuesdays, and I have been very proud of these guys for making the extra effort to come down and train.
2.) The baseball post season has started. These are the most aptly named playoffs in all of pro sports; these guys could play another 20 games!
3.) Get your nurition in order and sleep! These two components have a HUGE impact on the results you are seeking from your training program, and yet so many people just live "in the moment" with their training programs.
4.) For the most part, college strength coaches make things FAR more complicated than they need to be. I am allowed to say this BECAUSE I USED TO BE ONE. This is why I love Joe DeFranco's (www.defrancostraining.com) approach, he keeps things so utterly simple that it just makes sense. I have modeled my business after his, and will always respect what he has to say.
5.) I think Matt Cassel is going to continue to get better and better. And as my Fantasy QB and Patriots fan, I am praying that he does!

Desire
I am always amazed at some of the athletes that come into my facility.
Different shapes, different ages, different sports...but the one thing that most of them have, the one thing that seperates them the most, is a little word called DESIRE.
Desire is your fuel, it is WHY you are going to be great.
-Desire helps you gain 15 pounds of muscle or lose 10 pounds of fat.
-Desire gets you to come to your Metabolic workout, even after wrestling on open mats for the last 2 hours.
-Desire gets you to take Public Transportation to your workouts, when it would be so much easier to stay at home and play XBox.
-Desire pushes you on do perform your best on every rep, every set, and everday you walk through my doors.
-Desire will sculpt you, will mold you to be the best, and accept nothing short of that.
-Desire will gain you a spot on the travel squad for your college football team.
-Desire will get you that goal line stand.
-Desire will score you a takedown when you need one badly.
-Desire will make you a champion.
NEVER train without Desire.
