Phelps Training Systems Metabolic Meltdown
The Metabolic Meltdown is a program that is catered to people who are not currently “athletes” for a specific sport, but are looking to get stronger, leaner, and most importantly, healthier. The program is a high intensity, no nonsense workout that is designed to make our clients sweat, and to help them shed pounds. We emphasize high rep ranges, and constant motion to keep our clients’ heart rates elevated for the duration of the workout, and this in turn promotes an increased activity in the metabolism, which can help lead to significant weight loss. We look to work and strengthen all of the major muscle groups of our clients, and use compound movements whenever possible so that we are taxing multiple work systems simultaneously, which yields the most efficient workout possible.
Working out though is only one part of the Metabolic Meltdown experience. Nutrition is a huge part of weight loss, as well as just getting into better shape, and as part of the Metabolic Meltdown program, our clients are held responsible for making sure that they are taking care of their diets. Matt provides an outline of “good foods” and what would be considered “cheat meals”. Using his “cheat meal” system, which essentially limits, but does not absolutely deprive up of foods that we love but know are not very good for us, Matt puts his clients into a position to feel better, see results, and most importantly, become even healthier!
